Faith Formation: FAQ

Do you have an elementary school-aged child and want to know the answers to our frequently asked questions? Well, here they are – the most frequently asked faith formation questions…..

When should I start my child in Faith Formation classes?

We have classes for children from 1st through 5th grade. They are called ELEMENTARY FAITH FORMATION classes, and they take place twice a month on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons/early evenings from early October through the end of May.

How do I register my child for classes?

Our FF Registration packet  is  available online. Please deliver your completed forms and payment to the front office anytime during our weekday office hours (M-Th, 9am – 5pm or 8am-12noon on Sunday.) We do not accept mail, fax, or email copies.

When should I register my child?

Now! We begin registration in July and are requesting that forms be turned into the parish office by the second week of September. Classes start at the beginning of October and time slot preferences are assigned on a first come, first served basis… so we encourage you to get those forms in ASAP!!!

How much does it cost?

The fee for Faith Formation classes is $100 per child. This fee helps to cover the cost of the books and materials for the year. During the 2nd year of sacramental preparation (typically 2nd grade) there is an additional $60 fee, and an additional Sacramental Prep Registration packet to be completed and turned in to the parish office. Please deliver your completed forms and payment to the front office anytime during our weekday office hours (M-Th, 9am – 5pm or 8am-12noon on Sunday.) We do not accept mail, fax, or email copies.

If you are unable to pay, please let us know and we can certainly make arrangements for financial aid. On the flip-side, if you are able to make an additional or larger donation to the Faith Formation program we would gladly welcome any and all contributions!

When will we be getting the schedule?

The initial round of schedules and time slot assignments will be given out during the second week of September. For now, here some important dates to know:
Parent Orientation Meetings are scheduled on October 2nd-12noon-1pm  and  October 5th-7-8pm (you only need to attend one)
Start of classes – classes will begin the week of October 11, 2016.
