Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct. – Matthew 16: 24-28

Happy Holy Week! As a reminder, confessions will resume after Easter on Monday, April 18. Please help us decorate the church for Easter! Please bring Easter Lilies to the Parish Office anytime before noon on Holy Saturday. If the Parish Office is not open, please feel free to leave the lilies by the door. Someone will be by periodically to bring them inside. Thank you!

As we all know, this year’s Lent has been filled with many challenges at home and abroad, especially the unrest in Ukraine. The world has been praying for peace in Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict and Holy Trinity has also been praying for peace in Ukraine as well as contributing in various ways through outreach.

Our invitation to all Holy Trinity parishioners was to Carry Your Cross Through Lent. How did you do? Do you need to carry it a little longer? Perhaps you need to share it with someone? If you feel you have carried your cross well and you are ready to surrender it on Easter, please lay it in the basket placed at the foot of the cross in the church entry way. The crosses will be brought up with the gifts during Mass.
Offering more prayers, almsgiving and fasting, as well as the Lenten Mission given by Father Will Goldin and the Lenten Dinner with our very own Renee Bondi who shared her powerful testimony, brought us all closer to the joy of the cross this season.

One of the basic tenets of the Catholic Church, and by virtue of our baptism, is to continue learning loving and living our Catholic faith and giving our faith away to others through loving service. Beyond Easter we pray that you continue to volunteer in the many opportunities Holy Trinity offers including attending fellowship events, getting involved in our liturgical ministries, and giving of your time talent and treasure as we are called.

With expected victory of the resurrection joy on Easter Sunday, we look forward to seeing all of you at our Holy Week celebrations!

A Blessed Easter to all of you and your families!

With Love and Easter Joy,

Father Michael, Father Charles, Deacon Randy, Deacon Anthony and the Holy Trinity Staff- Maggy, Ocarina, Emmanuel, Lyssa, Daniel, Rey, and Santiago
