“Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the “sacraments of Christian initiation,” whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For “by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Welcome to Confirmation at Holy Trinity! We are excited and honored to partner with parents and candidates on this journey.
Preparation for Confirmation is a two year journey for all 9–11 grade youth in the Diocese of Orange. Year 1 & 2 candidates meet on select Sundays from 6:45-8:15pm in the Parish Hall. Classes run from September – May.
The junior and senior years of high school can be demanding in regards to academic and extra-curricular commitments. Therefore, it is encouraged that young people begin the Confirmation journey in their freshman year of high school. This helps to foster community and faith with their peers. However, the two year journey can be completed anytime during their freshman, sophomore, or junior year.

All teens who completed the Year 1 sessions and assignments are automatically enrolled in Year 2. Please be sure to check your email for notice of outstanding assignments or necessary makeups to ensure your teen is ready for Year 2!

Choosing a Confirmation Sponsor
It’s never too early to start thinking about the ideal Confirmation Sponsor! Choosing a Sponsor is a very important decision. Sponsors are called to show Candidates a solid example of Catholic prayer, sustain Candidates in moments of hesitancy, bear witness to the faith in everyday life, and guide the Candidate’s preparation process as well as help them fulfill their Baptismal promises.
